Peter & Matt’s

LGBTQ houston engagement portraits

Peter and Matt are genuine, intelligent, adventurous and thoughtful – and we are SO excited for their wedding in Houston this Spring at The Astorian! Since they love the Museum district and arts scene, we started their houston engagement portraits at Hermann Park and then popped over to the Glassel School of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s newest building that features a stunning rooftop terrace. Finally we appropriately concluded our session at Thirteen Celsius, the spot of Peter and Matt’s first date, for a relaxing glass of wine. After scheming for nearly a year to design an incredible custom ring, Peter popped the question to Matt and tells it like this:

“We went to a lovely dinner and wrapped up the evening at Thirteen Celsius. Meanwhile my brother was making use of his theater skills and setting the stage at out home. We returned and with some encouragement Matt made his way up the candle lit stairs to a display of calla lilies (his favorite), roses, a card, and a small gift box. He was more silent that I’d ever known him to be but he read the card and opened the gift box to find a small wooden carved ring box. I removed the ring box, knelt and asked him to marry me. Thankfully, he said “yes!”.

Congrats Peter & Matt!
